About Our Product

WHAT INGREDIENTS DO YOU USE? We strongly believe you should recognize all of the ingredients in your food. We only use the best ingredients  including real butter, milk, flour, sugar, eggs and fresh fruit. We also outsource and use organic and locally grown ingredients when available. We bake everything from scratch, we don’t use any preservatives, we also use real pure vanilla extract and premium chocolate. We bake with quality and love. You cannot find anything we do in a grocery store or whole sale store. 

ARE ANY OF YOUR PRODUCTS DAIRY-FREE or GLUTEN-FREE? All of our products contain dairy! Yes, we offer Gluten-Free cupcakes and a few other specialty products, we are working on creating additional gluten-free flavors as well. Unfortunately, at this time we do not offer sugar free desserts simply because we have not found recipes that we think are as amazing as our regular cakes. Visit our Allergy Friendly Menu HERE.  

DO YOUR PRODUCTS CONTAIN NUTS? Yes we do offer products that contain tree nuts and peanuts. Unfortunately, we are not a nut-free facility and cannot accommodate severe nut allergies.

DO YOU USE FONDANT? We do use FONDANT, but we use it in small quantities and for cake decorations. Rarely do we cover an entire cake or treats in FONDANT.  INSTEAD we use Italian Meringue Buttercream or Chocolate Ganache, which means, our product may have slight imperfections, but will never fail to be incredibly delicious.

Ordering 101

DO YOU HAVE A PHONE NUMBER? All orders must go through E-Mail for reference and to confirm that we have all of your order details correct. Please free to contact us at 914.418.4868 to confirm a date. 

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR YOU TO GET BACK TO ME?
We will review your submission and get back to you within 48 hours. For faster service, you can give us a call.

HOW EARLY SHOULD I PLACE MY ORDER? A cake order should be placed as soon as you have finalized all the details of your event(colors, theme, design, amount of servings, etc.). Since we are usually booked a few weeks (or sometimes months) in advance, we do encourage early ordering. (4-6 weeks advance notice is recommended, but we’re be happy to fit you in whenever our schedule permits.)

4-6 WEEKS! Yes, we are in business to help serve as many customers as we can. With that said, please keep in mind we are hard working people but there are only so many hours in the day. We specialize in EDIBLE ART! Generally speaking, people who book with us are usually planning parties/events well ahead of time! We appreciate you, and would be happy to create a cake for you. We take all the orders we can fit into our production schedule. If we're booked, it just simply means other people placed their orders with anticipation. 

HOW CAN I ORDER A CAKE AND TREATS?  There are 3 ways to order! You can call us to confirm a date and talk about your event, email us at PinkSugarPastries@gmail.com or CONTACT US HERE! Either way, we'll need ALL of the details regarding your event in order to provide you with a quote. (Date, time, location, theme, colors, flavors, amount of servings needed, and any ideas or inspiration pictures you have for reference.) Since we are usually booked in advance, we do encourage early ordering.

DO YOU OFFER CAKE TASTINGS? Yes! Tastings are by appointment only, CONTACT US or give us a call to chat about your event and schedule a tasting. Our tasting fee is $100 per couple for a 1 hour consultation, but when you book your order with us, $50 gets applied toward your deposit. We recommend that you bring in any pictures, invitations, and any information that may help us come up with something perfect for your event. You have the option of choosing 4 cake flavors and 4 filling flavor combinations for your tasting, and we also send you home with an extra serving for a loved one to help you decide.


Delivery

DO YOU DELIVER? Yes, we deliver within 50 miles of our location. *Minimum order for delivery is $300. Price of delivery is based on location. You can CONTACT US, with details regarding your event and we can send you a quote. 

CAN I PICK UP AN ORDER? Yes, you can schedule a pick up time with us! How-ever we do not encourage people to pick up large orders. We are not responsible for any cakes or desserts once they leave our facility.

DO YOU SHIP YOUR CAKES? Unfortunately, we do NOT ship cakes. They are too FRAGILE for shipping. We are working on our ONLINE SHOP with some items that will make GREAT gifts and can be shipped nation wide!


Product Care and Serving Instructions

HOW DO I STORE MY CAKE? If you are not going to serve your cake within a few hours of purchase, the cake needs to be stored in the refrigerator on a flat surface. Take your cake out of the refrigerator about 2 hours before serving, but do not keep the cake at room temperature for more than a 4 hours and never leave the cake in the heat. If your cake is under direct heat it WILL MELT. For overnight storage, keep your cake in the box provided in a refrigerator. Please be cautious of strong smells that might sneak into your cake.
It is also important to store your cake on a flat surface. If places or stored slanted will result in a crooked cake or even worse a ruined cake. Placing your cake on a flat surface will keep it straight and beautiful!

HOW DO I TRAVEL WITH MY CAKE and TREATS IN THE CAR? The best place to put your cake is in the trunk of your car on a flat surface, if possible strapped back with a bunggy cord. Another way to travel with you cake is by placing it on the floor of the passenger seat or back seat of your car. We've found these to have the best results after traveling with a lot of cakes. DO NOT travel with the cake on your lap or on the seat of your car (these are not a flat surfaces). You don't want the box falling over or accidentally drop your box if someone stops short. This applies to all desserts and treats. Small not so fragile product have a bit more flexibility. In any case, we will help you find the best spot for your cake and treats if needed.

HOW LONG WILL MY CAKE LAST? We LOVE fresh cake so we strongly recommend eating your cake the day you purchase it. But if you need to store it in the refrigerator, it should stay moist for up to 3 days after purchase. We do recommend freezing your cake if it will not be eaten within 3 days. Wrap you cake tightly in plastic wrap and store it in your freezer. This method helps retain moisture in the cake and will keep your cake fresh for up to a year! When you’re ready to eat it again, let it thaw out or microwave in 10 second intervals until perfect.


Deposit & Booking

BOOKING? After we discuss the details of your event and decide on a cake that you like, if you are interested in booking and would like to proceed, we would require a non-refundable 50% deposit to secure your date. The remaining balance must be paid in full one week prior to your event. The balance and deposit are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFER- ABLE, meaning you can NOT cancel 24 hours before your pick up or delivery.

IS A DEPOSIT REQUIRED TO PLACE AN ORDER? Yes. We require a non-refundable 50% deposit to book your order. If your balance is not paid IN FULL one week prior to your event, you forfeit your deposit, and risk not being accommodated. We will contact you ahead of time to confirm your order and remind you of any remaining balance.

WHY IS IT NON-REFUNDABLE?  We do book up often so by taking your order we may have to turn down other orders. Unfortunately if you cancel we can not go back and fulfill orders that were denied to backfill your spot. Your deposit ensures availability FOR YOU and we manage our entire team and production schedule based on YOUR ORDER once you book it. 

WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENTS DO YOU ACCEPT? We accept Venmo, Zelle, Cash or we can email you an invoice via PayPal. For your protection, we do NOT process credit card orders over the phone. However, for your convenience, we can email you an invoice for you to pay online through PayPal or Square. Let us know ahead of time what form of payment you’d like to use.


Refund and Cancellation Policy

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY? We currently require at least one week cancellation for custom cakes and dessert table treats. For all other orders we require 72 hours notice for cancellation. *Please understand that when you book an order, we decline other orders. If you cancel, that could result in money and time lost, just to accommodate your order.

IN THE EVENT OF CANCELLATION:
1.
All requests for cancellation must be made in writing (email).
2. If a cancellation is received, your deposit will not be refundable.
3. If a cancellation is received less than one week prior to the promised delivery/pickup date, the full balance is still the client’s responsibility. 

DO YOU ACCEPT RETURNS? We do not accept returns, exchanges or refund on any perishable goods. We are not responsible for cakes that are improperly stored or transported. If your cake is damaged in our hands during a delivery we will refund you an estimate of 50% of your order depending on damage.
